Nope, James is right. Two years!

I had a little more time to spend, so I finished up the skid plate.

I notched the cross member where the T-case had a slight rub.

Here is how the tranny mount ended up.

It feels nice to at least finish something!

I liked the replacement tranny mount better because it uses bolts instead of studs. This is nice because I might be able to get some counter sunk bolts instead of hex heads. This is help keep the skid smoother underneath.

Nice man, it really does feel good to get some things completed. Nothing worse than a garage full of lingering projects.

Hahahahaha, that's basically what my 4Runner has been for 3 years now. I've got a list of 50-60 things that I'd like to do it.

Oh, I've got a list also, but I can take my Jeep out now if I want. I'm learning to start one project and finish it before getting to another project*

*except on projects that have good stopping points like the Roofrack/Tire carrier project(s)

With my skid plate being done, I was able to set the angle of my rear axle and tack on my perches. Since I run a CV shaft, I just pointed the rear pinion right at the T-case output. I pulled my rear axle out from under the jeep and finished the welding.

Image

After the perches were welded, I lined up the T&T truss that I bought. The truss fit very nice. It was a nice time saver. The only thing I didn't like was the truss doesn't go perch to perch. So, I added a little section on either end of the truss.

Looks like a SOLID truss setup.

I sure hope so. CU Buff 4Runner, Cruzin Illusion, and I all have bent housings on the trail. 87XJCO has slo bent a housing or two. But it doesn't count when you do it with a welder or take the easy route and becoming Rollfrog. :butthead:

Plus, it ain't solid until it looks like dumbo ears
